Exclamation RHEL WS as DNS Server

Hi all,

I am installing RHEL 4 WS as i dont have ES or AS, but want to configure DNS on it. Is it possible? If so from where i can get the packages (Bind & Caching-nameserver). Tried googling but not successful.

Likely the BIND (DNS) packages built for Fedora Core 4 (FC4) will work on it though there may be other dependencies you'll need to get.

The question is why use RHEL WS if you want it to be a server?

If you are buying support from RedHat for RHEL you should pony up the money for AS rather than WS. If you're not buying from RedHat then you shouldn't use RHEL - you should use FC as it is free and can be updated with yum rather than up2date so requires no entitlement license at RedHat. Fedora Core is the non-commercial version of what eventually becomes RHEL. Typically it is a little more bleeding edge but since FC6 is now out that shouldn't be much of a concern.
