Renaming Directory


Hello,

Would someone please be kind enough to tell me the syntax to rename a directory.

OS - Fedora 5

You don't even need the -v..

mv olddir newdir

Yeah, but then you don't get the instant feedback that you mistyped the new directory name. Force of habit for me.

Setup an alias if you want verbose output when using the mv command..
