Removing Linux Partition and merging that space with my other Windows Partition

Hey, I'm running a dual boot of Suse 10.2 with XP on one HDD with 3 partitions.

1 is XP (20 GB or so)
1 is Linux (15 GB or so)
1 is Any Data (20 GB FAT32 drive)

What I would like to do is remove the Linux partition so that I can merge that space with the XP Partition. I would like to in the end, run VMWare on top of XP rather than dual booting.

Thanks for your time.

Why not run XP in a VMware inside Linux?

Well anyways, I would use Gparted from a LiveCD or download & burn GParted alone, and use that.
Just delete the Linux partition, and 'stretch' the XP partition so it occupies the empty space where Linux was
That's all that should be required. Prolly a good idea to Defrag the NTFS partition first, before starting,.

Boot your windows CD into recovery mode. Then type fixmbr. From there, you can either use the windows disk management tool, or boot a GParted LiveCD to delete the linux partition and grow your XP partition.

Thanks for the quick reply, guy and girl. I'm going to be doing this during my reading week, so might follow your advice grapefruitgirl.
