regardind getting a ip through dhcp


Hi all,
I am having arm device having linux2.6 ported.In that wifi is enabled.
when I am trying to get a IP dynamically through dhcp is failing at that time.
when i am executing dhclient eth1 (eth1 is my interface name)
Out put I am getting :

No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.

so can anyone tell me what could be the problem?
