Rebuild LVM after boot HDD died?

Hi,
I had just set up a basic server around ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I installed the boot on a separate 1T HDD. Then I set up a LVM using 3 X 3T HDDs.

Two days of copying files into the LVM saw me up and running.

Then later the same day the boot HDD failed big time.

I have now replaced the boot HDD, but of course the information for the LVM that was on the original boot disk is gone.

The LVM's drives are OK, of course.

Q: Is there a way to rebuild/ reconfigure the LVM without having to start over?

Thanks

All the information is in the LVM headers on the LVM drives themselves. A simple "pvscan -ay" should find and activate all of your logical volumes.

Thanks Initially I got

Quote:
--activate is only valid with --cache.
However, I note that that the device entries were created and I was able to mount the LVM.

Cheers
