Reboot error log

My RH server seems have some problems so that there are some errors pop up to the screen ( console ) when reboot , however , I can't write the message down because the message gone away very fast ( I only see some daemon can't start ) , I check with /var/log/boot.log , but only find part of errors , could suggest how can I log all the error of server reboot ? thx

Basically
Code:
dmesg | less
would get you the last error messages.

To see what happened during a whole day you should search in /var/log/messages, that's the standard logging facility.

Use cat and grep to filter out stuff, because /var/log/messages is veeery lengthy.
