Questions on copy+pasting, gdesklets and more!

Hi, a couple questions...I'm sitll pretty new, but have been running RH9 almost exclusivly for over a month!

Is there a way to cpy-paste across different virtual workspaces? i Know they are to be sued to seperate totally different tasks, but i keep my email client and programming IDE etc on different workspaces, and sometimes I want to copy-paste into another workspace...is there a way? When I do it, there is a seperate string on the clipboard for each workspace...

Also, I'v read about this cool program gdesklets for gnome, but I am having trouble installing...

Running RH9/GNOME

I extract the gDesklets tar...move to dir

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --infodir=/usr/share/info
(i didn this since someone with the same problem that i had read)
make
make install
the icon gets created in Accessories/More Accessories
but if i run gdesklets

"
[root@localhost root]# gdesklets
gDesklets 0.22.1
Copyright ? 2003 Martin Grimme, Christian Meyer, Jesse Andrews

This software is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL.
"

and it just hangs

I installed the .bin files , which seemed be ok (I'm trying to use psi)

and i did gdesklets whatever.display (including full path) for all the displays, and that seemed to work

but when i run gdesklets it still hangs!
Thanks!

Its supposed to be that way...

Assuming that you have installed gdesklets properly, It should come in the GNOME menu under Accessories. This is the way gdesklets works-

1. First a gdesklet daemon is started by running "gdesklets &" from the command line or by clicking on the gdesklets icon in the menu.

2. You run gdesklets "some display file" to bring up the display.

3. If you right click on any display and choose to "Quit" gdesklets, the next time you run gdesklets daemon ("gdesklets &"), all the displays come back automatically.
