hi,
when i telnet to another computer, i have there files i wanna transfer to my own computer, which i telnet the other computer from.
how can i do that?
thanks.
Telnet is not what you want to use. ftp is the program you want to use (it stands for File Transfer Protocol).
If what you are doing is between two machines on the net, I would strongly advise you set up/start using ssh (Secure Shell) as telnet is unencrypted and insecure. If you have ssh running, you can then do scp (Secure Copy) between the two machines.
If you haven't a clue what I am talking about or can't get ftp to work, write back.
Oh thanks, the FTP works fine (with the same user and pass i log in via telnet)
But when i try to SSH it doesnt ask me for user, just for pass
i guess they are just using different accounts.
thanks anyway
