Question about rpm install

I am trying to upgrade apache and I get this error message...what does this mean?

[root@luckycassius justin]# ls
bind-9.2.2-8.i386.rpm iptables-1.2.8-9.1.i386.rpm
httpd-2.0.47-4.i386.rpm sendmail-8.12.9-7.i386.rpm
[root@luckycassius justin]# rpm -Uvh httpd-2.0.47-4.i386.rpm
error: missing ':' (found 0x22) at /usr/lib/rpm/rpmrc:1

If someone can help me out that would be awesome...thanks again!

try

rm -rf /var/lib/rpm/__*

then retry it

all that does is clear the rpm-cache, kinda like temporary internet files in IE

Are you having this problem with every RPM package you try to install? It might be corrupted or something.
