Question about AMD64 Distros


I was wondering if you can install 32 bit applications under the the AMD64 distros of Linux ?

yes you can, although we've (us in the 64 bit community) tended to find that most people go for optimised software, and try to avoid 32 bit versions. This often means re-compiling the software from source even though there are pre-built 32 bit packages available, but there is a steadily increasing library of 64 bit packages now available for most distros.

Just for the record: a 64bit distribution has as much features as an 32bit one now: You can get flash and any 32bit codec working if you have multilib support(which most distros now have).
