arg... ok i can't modprobe snd-cmipci:
root@punkshark:/dev# modprobe snd-cmipci
Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than /lib/modules/2.4.18/modules.dep
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/sound/pci/snd-cmipci.o: invalid parameter parm_snd_enable_midi
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/sound/pci/snd-cmipci.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/sound/pci/snd-cmipci.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/sound/pci/snd-cmipci.o: insmod snd-cmipci failed
i dunno wut do do, i have a ALSA CMI8738/C3DX PCI sound card and i use alsa.....0.9.0rc7 driver... can anyone help me?

nvm, i got it working, hehe, i did depmod -a and deleted the snd_enable_midi part, hehe thanks anyways! now im gonna try recording with this new driver, c if it works

hmm, my qt is not working properly, it , when i tried to compile programs, it says :

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.2) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

and i already upgrade my qt to 3.1.1, i DLed qt in kde web, slackware web, both doesn't work properly, so do i need to get other new stuff like gcc in order to get it working?
