.profile not being sourced by gdm login when using ksh93. NEED HELP!!!!

I switched to using ksh93. When I login in now via gdm and open a gnome-terminal, none of my .profile or .env configuarations have been ran. I know I can open the window as a loghin in shell but I didn't have to do this before with and older ksh. When ever I opened a terminal widow my .profile config had already been set. Does this have anything to do with gdm and ksh93. \

I running Redhat 9 kernel 2.4.20-20.9

NEED HELP!!!!!
