Unhappy Problems starting Apache


[root@wowrack bin]# ./apachectl start
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started
[root@wowrack bin]# ./apachectl configtest
Syntax OK
[root@wowrack bin]# ./apachectl start
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started
[root@wowrack bin]# ./httpd -v
Server version: Apache-AWHCP/1.3.12 (Unix)
Server built: Jul 13 2002 22:47:58
[root@wowrack bin]#

You'll find additional error information in the log files. Please post this.

Apache 1.3.12 is vulnerable to a well publicised exploit, you should upgrade to version 1.3.26 as soon as possible.

Hmm looked in logs, says some stuff about mod_perl perl module versions, appears to be that something updated the perl module bit but not the Apache bit, I'm just gonna re-install mod_perl
