I have configured samba for sharing files. I am using fedora core 4 and XP professional. when i am sending one file to windows, checking that file when it was sent. But problem is there...I found that the file shared by one day before...
EX:
let's say i am sending one file from server (Linux machine) to client (windows machine)by 14th Oct...but when i am checking in the client machine, it shows that 13th Oct has been received that file... i want to mention both computer's time and date are same...

what do you mean by "sending a file to windows"?

You share files on your server, that is, you make them accessible for the other machine.
You don't send them around, do you?

is it just the timestamp that is wrong or do you see the old file?
what happens if you delete the file on the server?
could it be that you simply see the creation date of the file?

I'd be happy to help, but...
DESCRIBE your problem, man!!
TELL US what you tried already!
Don't expect other people to ask and ask and ask.

BTW: this thread should be in the networking section.. you'd get far more attention there.
