phpMyAdmin not working

I have just downloaded phpMyAdmin 2.9.2 I had all the required things, also as told in document I copied the config.inc.php in a config folder.
The entire thing is in the the webserver's document root and all the permissions are set properly, in fact my other php files runs fine only the phpMyAdmin thing does not work.If I try to open index.php or script/setup.php it gives me a blank page.

I am not getting a clue since there is nothing so great to be done in order to use phpMyAdmin. What all I understand is when a blank page appears the php interpreter in not able to interpret some thing within the page.

At my work place it the same phpMyAdmin worked(though php was not compile with mysql support it gave an error and didnt gave a blank page), the difference it there I have a Fedora 6 and at home I have FC3 but still what all if require by phpMyAdmin I have.

Let me know if any body has a clue.

Check the log of the webserver

If u are using Apache that comes along with FC3 then

/var/log/httpd/error.log

This will give the details as to what the issue is.

The log does not gives any information. But when I get phpMyAdmin 2.6.0 it worked just fine. I am using FC3, PHP 4.3.9 (with session support enabled), MySql 4.0.23 and Apache 2.0.

The Requirements of phpMyAdmin 2.9.2 according to its document are as following

*PHP
+ You need PHP 4.1.0 or newer, with session support
* MySQL 3.23.32 or newer
* Web browser with cookies enabled.

The requirements of phpMyAdmin 2.6.0 is as following

* php 4.1.0 or later
* MySQL 3.23.32 or newer
* a web-browser

If you see in both cases the requirement is fulfilled still 2.6.0 works and 2.9.2 does not.

Hi any other php attributes affecting the webpage display ?

There is a 'register_globals' variable which must be set to off for some web applications .

Can u check the readme and see if u need to set any specific attribute
