Permission Problems

I was enjoying a game of NES on my TuxNES emulator along with GTuxNES as a frontend, when I decided to update my RedHat system. When it finished I wanted to play some more, excpect when I went to run GtuxNES I got "Segmentation Fault". I did some research here at LQ and found out that if I log in as root, it'll run with no problems. Now, I know that GTuxNES uses the GTK libraries and that's all I know of, but what files would I need to change permissions and ownerships on to accomplish this? Anyone know?

I contacted the creator of this program and found out how to fix it. In my home directory there was a file called ".gtuxnesrc". After deleting this file, the program ran fine.
