Partial Screen Display MDK 9.0

I'm running MDK 9.0 my display was fine until I did an update to fix a mouse problem. Now the screen that displays the whole boot sequence is partially blacked out on the left half of the screen. The initial boot selection screen (I'm running with dual boot) displays correctly. Using LILO, KDE. Thanks.

If I understand your question correctly; the only time the display is messed up is while the system is booting up. Thanks.
I did another update and now the problem is fixed. Very strange!!
