hmm, odd my post didnt take the other day.
I have been using Linux for well over a decade while performing online banking. A few notes on those points.
1. any major bank that offers a well built online interface will work with any OS.
2. hazel hit the nail on the head, this sounds like a liability issue not a lack of support issue.
3. As others have mentioned any OS running a standard modern browser (chrome & all of its forks, firefox, safari, IE/Edge, etc...) should work without major issues.
3a. If the banks sites dont work with said browsers (check more than one) than it is a bank I would question in reliability.
4. The only times I've had any issues with online banking is due not to my OS or browser, but to ad-blocking adons that I run in my browsers and Pi-Hole I run on my local network to protect data.
5. If the bank is running questionable scripts that prevent it from loading due to my adons, than that bank is not worthy of my money.
6. The only thing big corps (all big corps) understand is $$$. If they are trying to serve you adverts, or sell your information via scripting etc... they are unworthy and you should take your business someplace else.
