Numerical keypad

Hi all

Difficult one. Or at least I hope not.

Story:

19 linux workstations (Mandrake 9)
They are all connection to my MS 2003 Terminal server

The problem:

I can't get the ASCII symbols to work
ie ALT + 1 + 3 + 6 => ê
(I know the right ALT key needs to be enabled 1st)
Num Lock have no effect on this.

The odd one:

It works in Notepad and Wordpad
But in no other appz, ie Word, Internet Explorer.

This can't be brushed off as a MS problem. The WinXP pc's connecting the same way works fine. I am missing something here.

Please help?

You could use character selector or charmap
Copy and paste.

I wish that was an option.

Unfortunately in our langauge we use these caracters very often.

It's either back to Win98 or thinclients for the TS workstations then, and I liked the idea of Linux.
