NTP problems

On all boxes rdate work flawlessly except on a RH 8 box. Here's what it shows:

[root@rh80 root]# date
Sat Nov 23 19:29:11 GMT+1 2002

[root@rh80 root]# rdate ntp1.ptb.de
rdate: [ntp1.ptb.de] Sat Nov 23 17:29:16 2002

From /etc/sysconfig/clock:
ZONE="Europe/Berlin"
UTC=false
ARC=false

I have another box which is using RH 7.3 and same configuration:
/etc/sysconfig/clock:
ZONE="Europe/Berlin"
UTC=false
ARC=false

BUT here's the difference:
[root@rh73 root]# date
Sat Nov 23 19:32:08 CET 2002

[root@rh73 root]# rdate ntp1.ptb.de
rdate: [ntp1.ptb.de] Sat Nov 23 19:32:34 2002

So where's the problem? The only difference I can see is that
timezone is one time GMT+1 and the other time CET. So different names, CET is GMT+1 though or ?

Okay I fixed the problem myself ... I removed /etc/localtime and created a symlink to /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin:
ln -sf ../usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin /etc/localtime

This solution works!
