nfs root for diskless
Hi
My questions might show a lack of understanding of linux, but i am learning as i go.
I'm trying to setup at diskless client running fedora. I have succeded in loading the kernel, but it cannot mount the nfs share as root. I can't quite recall the error message but it is something like: VFS: cannot mount nfs, try another root...(not quite this but close).
Am i correct in assuming that this is because the default fedora kernel hasn't got nfs enabled?
A followup question:
The box is for running mythtv and i find it quite easy to setup using the atrpms.net repository, but some of the rpms are named specifically after the kernel, version number and all. Will i have problems using these if i compile my own kernel?
Best regards,
Lasse
