Netscape Browser Disappears

I have Red Hat 7.3 and have gnome for my desktop. Sometimes I use Netscape communicator as my web browser and every once in a while the browser will just disappear on me while Im online. I have no idea why it does this, has this happend to anyone here?

No, but one time Netscape just lost the settings I had, I had to redo everything, well mail was still ther. Besides mail everything was gone, I redid the setings, but it would loose them each time I closed it. I never found out why it happened.

throw away netscape and get yourself mozilla or konqueror or opera or sthelse useful - just my opinion

it's being killed. from what I understand, the UNIX kernel kills apps when they do something they shouldn't.

if your worried, you can try opera, when it is quit abnormally, it comes up with the option to let you continue browsing at the last place you were.
