yo

Try www.tldp.org they have alot of stuff you can read. Also, if you bought a distro check out the user guide...and maybe the library....free books, and lots of em. I hear "Running Linux" by O'reily is pretty popular, once you get linux up and running try typing 'man <command>' where <command> might be (ls,mkdir,rmdir,less,cat,cp,mv,clear,date,cal...)
the list goes on and on...

I'm pretty new myself so that's all i can think of at the moment...had 10 hours of sleep in the last 2 days and probably won't get much tonight either...(this is more addictive than crack)

hope this helps a little

I find O'reily books to be more technical that practical. I just got Linux redhat 7.2 bible, and find it to be very good. The focus is more on the prompt which is good because that is what will make you more proficent and efficent at using linux.
