need 2.4.27 kernel headers

I've been looking for a site where I can download kernel headers for my striped debian distro. I've been working with a linmodem package for days now and just when I think I'm about to go online with it, I hit another rock... Linux is so fun. I downloaded kernel headers 2.4.27-3 and the stupid install script complained that I need headers 2.4.27... I tried forcing it and it complained that "it couldn't". I've been searching for a while and haven't had any luck. Someone know where to find the headers?

Have you tried http://www.kernel.org/ , that is where anything kernel can usually be found.

Try here:

http://www.us.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.4/

You can get the headers from the source.

Thanks, I found the kernel and... well... this may sound dumb, the *.h files are the kernel headers or am I doing something wrong here?

I'm pretty sure those .h files are the ones you want.

However, be sure you you have an exact match to the named kernel. That "-3" in "2.4.27-3" is, I believe, a Debian addition.

In any case, if what you've already found doesn't work out, look here:
