Exclamation Mysql Multi-master replication - Best Method ??

I have to build up a configuration where databases on different Servers will be
syncronised (only in one direction) with one Server.

My question: is this possible with the replication feature?

overview:

Server 2 [db1]
Server 3 [db2] --> Server 4 [db1, db2, db3...db25]
Server 4 [db3]
...
Server 25[db25]( maximum 25 servers )

the arrow shows the data flow. On Server 4 read processes will be used for
replicating tables.

Can you suggest me a better replication method for this particular senario. Thanks in
advance. - Ganesh

Hmm, up to 5.1 MySQL can only replicate one master. I don't know about 5.4.

Your diagram seems to suggest you're running db3 on Server 4 and it needs to be replicated to itself?

I would say you need up to 25 instances of MySQL running on Server 4, each instance a slave for one primary db server.

You do not explain what problem you are trying to solve, or why you have chosen this particular design. Therefore I can't offer an alternative, or give advice as to whether it is any good. I can only tell you how to implement it.

EDIT:

By the way, multi master replication means something other than what you describe: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/...ti-master.html

you want 25 servers to replicate down to one server? like said above you need 25 mysql instances on that one server... It would need to be a massive server if you have busy databases... all deletes/inserts from all 25 servers would be ran on one server.
