Because I'm fedup with crossover plug-in ( having trouble installing it) , so I looked for some other tools to view streaming media in the internet. Last week I found this tool call mplayer plug-in for mozilla. ...damn cool! It took me a week to figure out how to compile mplayer to work with this mplayer plugin...
Basic How to..
1. dowload live.com library form obviously
www.live.com
2. dowload the current cvs version of mplayer and compile it with these options --enable-live --with-reallibdir="path to your live.com lib"
3. download the mplayerplug-in form sourceforge.net and compile it. Then copy the mplayerplug-in.so to your mozilla plugin folder...
4. To test it go to
www.apple.com/trailers and view any movie... cool eh?
Thats all for now... later I'll compile rpms for RH9 after I have my breakfast.....peace. No more paid ,close source crossover for me!
