Post mount vs findmnt, how is findmnt more robust?

Good morning!
I am looking for a clarification on something I notice yesterday while looking at man mount. Listing the mounts with mount command is maintained for backward compatibility. It instruct to use findmnt which is more robust and customizable. Great. Exactly what I was looking for.
But I am curious, how is findmnt more robust? Do they mean more reliable? Are there cases where some mount would show up with findmnt and not with mount?
Thank you for your time to explain.

Here a screen shot. I'm curious to know if it is also mentioned in your local man.
I am asking for clarification on why it is more robust as I am writing an article on using findmnt. Could be good information to add to the article.

EDIT: I don't think I can add images yet...
