mount fat partitions at start


Hi i want to mount my fat partition at start... can u help me?
/dev/hda5 /home/alaios/Documents vfat noauto,user 0 0

try removing the "noauto" flag

Also have a look at "man fstab" and "man mount" for more info

defaults,users,umask=000 does it for me. umask may be needed becasue fat doesn't support file permissions and so umask sets a file permission mask for the files on the fat partition.

#cat /etc/fstab
( just a part of this file )

they always worked for me. I never tried umask etc

If that is the case, and you're actually using Slackware it suggests
that you're doing something incredibly stupid - working as root.
