modem connection error code #8


I am currently using SuSe 9.0. I have a sierrra wireless card 555. i have the drivers and it DOES work. But sometimes when trying to dial in using kinternet i get an error message. after about 10 attempts it does connect. is there somewhere i can fix this? below is the error code...and below that is the log on when it works. it is the dev/tty0 not the modem. thanks in advance

it does work, but i sometimes get error messages. thanks again
