mini livecd

Does anybody know a mini livecd, which alllows you to edit an existing installation?
Many livecds are useless as rescue cds, because they don't allow you to edit existing installation for protection reasons- at least that is what my short experience shows.
Thanks

How mini do you want the Live CD to be? I was recommended SystemRescueCD, which is better than you may think it is. What about any old Live CD?

Mini distros:
Damn Small Linux
Puppy Linux
Feather Linux
INSERT

The list goes on....Why don't you just "su" to root in them? That will allow you to edit anything and everything...

When I've messed up my system I was happy to find that booting up with a Slax live CD enabled me to easily edit some configuration files and save things. And it fits on a mini-cd...

Cheers!
