I'd sugest not... why would you want to do that in the first place? To use it your going to want a windows system, so why not format it under windows when you're at that stage?? You can create a partition of the appropriate type for NTFS no problem, but I would never suggest formatting anything to NTFS using anything other than windows. Maybe you should explain your motiviations and we'll probably be able to clarify a fair few things about your needs and intentions.
