hi, i am fairly new to linux and fedora.
i am running FC5 and love it. but just the other day i went into my music folder and all my music was gone. It wasn't gone, but the description of the file says the Date and time.
*Thurs 04 May 2006 11:00 PM PST*
and once i cliked the file it opened it Azereus. but my HD still is as full as it was, so it is like there are ghost files or something.
Anyone know what this problem is, and any way to fix it? Would it be a type of system restore?
what does ls -l say in the directory? does it show the files as having any data in them? try playing a file from the command line, e.g.: mpg321 song.mp3, or opening them in a media player. azureus is a bittorrent client, i don't think it plays media files. it sounds like your run actions, or "associations," are messed up. what desktop, kde?
gnome.
the labeling of the files in the folder is all messed up, but i ran an update and now for some reason the music can play in xmms.
what is "associations?"
