Login Manager
Okay,
I have KDE 3.1 up and running. When I got this going I lost my Ximian Gnome, or at lest I thought. Computer would boot up to the KDE login Manager (I think that's what it's called) and I could choose from KDE, Default, and Failsafe. So, I could not leave well enough alone. I went to the KDE Control Center and under System Manager, Login Manager I added "gnome". BAD MOVE!
Now the computer boots up to the KDE Login Manager fine but I don't have KDE as a choice anymore, just Default & Failsafe. No KDE or Gnome.
I login as usual choosing Default and the system gose to a "Xdefault" terminal like window. There I have to type 'kde" or "gnome" and all seems well from there. Except I now have this "Xdefault" window (minimized) in the task bar below. Not a big deal but I liked the sys prior to my....... I'll let you pick the words.
Oh, and when I log out the system logs out to the terminal like window and I have to type "exit" and then I get the Login Manager.
That all said, How do I fix this? Winow Manager, Desktop Manager, X session? HELP!
I'm using SuSE 8.0 with KDE 3.1 (cool, very cool) and Ximain Gnome.
Thanks!
