I just discover Linux. I have install RedHat on an Pentium 200 MMX, with 32 MB RAM, ELSA WINNER 1000 TRIO, AXION CK4148 monitor. I can't adjust my monitor. How can I do that?
secondly please use more useful thread titles "e.g changing resultion and colour depth on redhat 6.2"
thirdly...
ok, this does get asked an awful lot, so have a serach on this site as well, but all you should need to do is to open /etc/X11/XF86Config in a text file and find the "Screen" section. there you should have a DefaultColorDepth option which you can change to 2 4 8 15 16 24 or 32. then in the relevant depth Subsection enter the right resolution. the one at the front of the list is the one that will be used first.
