Linux paraphernalia question

Whats up LQ,

I've been searching the internet for a place to buy a linux/tux flag to string up on my flagpole at tailgating parties etc. However, as one might guess, searching for "linux" and "flag" yeilds plenty of man pages describing command line arguments (flags) for linux programs. I know that there's plenty of custom screen printing places out there, but I figured I'd ask. Not even thinkgeek has one!

Any ideas?

Cafe press has tons of Linux and Tux related images for printing on various items. .

http://www.cafepress.com/buy/TUX/-/c...rchBox/x_0/y_0

Although I do not see banners or flags as available items. If I were you, I would pick out an image from there, and then shoot them an email and ask about having it printed on a flag, or banner..

if they can't do it, the TUX logo is free to use, so any screen printing shop should be able to crank out an item for you.. http://www.isc.tamu.edu/~lewing/linux/

Trust the penguin!

I created this flag http://www.iamspartacus.net/?q=node/64 for a fellow LUG member in 2002. I've kicked around the idea of doing a few more and see if they sell quickly. Its constructed of heavy duty canvas, and stands up to the elements well. I can't remember the last time I inquired about it, but after a year or so I checked back to see how it was holding up. It was my first attempt to sew anything, and was unsure of how to properly weatherproof it. The feedback I got was it had survived winds that were strong enough that the pole it was mounted on snapped! So here's my disclaimer, I cannot be held liable for damage done if/when such event shall occur again! Let me know if you are still interested in one, and we can discuss the details.
