What do you think about this?
I really like using winamp and xmms and the ability to just click and play a song, so i was thinking i would like to make a system strictly for music with the absolute minimum required for the system, no internet connection
required, with minimum GUI, with like 5 cdroms. What linux distro would be best? How viable does this sound? thanks

That is kinda like what the BBC (linux bootable business card) project is aimed at. Imagine in the future people buy computers that have no OS and extremely large hard drives. When you want to play games you put in your games cd. To watch DVD's or TV you swap cd's. Of course the boot process needs to be streamed-lined somewhat. This is where Linux will outshine Windows. And where the GNU License will make the Micronopoly "Endentured Servant Agreement" obsolete!
