Linux can't download anything

when i try to get a file from my other computer IT CAN NOT be transfered.

if i put the file which has an exe ending into my FTP folder on the windows box, the Linux computer will only download 140kb then it will stop. i changed the name of the file to .tar.gz and it stopped at the same point. i put the file in my HTTP folder and tried and it STILL stops at 140kb

wtf is wrong?

Can you download from any other computer, like off the internet ? I couldn't even connect to your link above ?

Hmmm.... I was able to connect, but only dowloaded an empty (0 size) file.

Can you d/l a different type of file (not just renaming the current one) from that directory or another one on the same machine?

Well i downloaded 2 items both are empty and now will not let me delete them. have you tried deletign them and replacign them?

ok i got it now, the HTTP server finaly decided to work

well i got the files over but the thing bombed, server opened but no text and super lag
