kexec --> VTs don't function

This is how I do a kernel reboot from withing linux:
Code:
kexec -l /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17-10-generic --append="root=/dev/hda6" --initrd="/boot/initrd.img-2.6.17-10-generic"
And it works, but I lose VTs.
What am I doing wrong?
