hi,mcleodnine
In my system, the link of linux is point to /usr/src/linux-2.4.18 ,not linux-2.4.18-SuSE, why?
and shall I do this below before I starting complie my kernel?
#cd /usr/src
#rm -f linux
#mv linux linux-2.4.18-SuSE
#ln -s linux-2.4.18-SuSE linux
# cd /usr/include
# rm -r asm linux scsi
# ln -s /usr/src/linux/include/asm-i386 asm
# ln -s /usr/src/linux/include/linux linux
# ln -s /usr/src/linux/include/scsi scsi

the link is point to linux-2.4.18, so which kernel source directory I should choice between linux-2.4.18 and linux-2.4.18-SuSE ?
the other question shaopudding asked is still make puzzled.
even I add an argument when system starting (linux mem = 512M, my physical memory is 512M), it still doesn't work.
Does Germany make so much more difficultis to us?
