Kernel Source Location

I'm trying to compile a linux kernel module that I created but i'm unable to locate my kernel source because I installed a fresh new version of Linux on my Mandrake system.

Usually, the source would be located in /usr/src/(LINUX KERNEL NAME) but where would the files be now because all that is located in the folder is a folder named RPM?

If it isn't in /usr/src/linux* then it probably isn't installed. Either download your distros kernel sources or get an original version from http://www.kernel.org

I don't think getting one from kernel.org is going to work very well as Mandrake puts quite a few patches in their kernel RPMs. So even if you get the exact same version from kernel.org it will be different to your running kernel and might cause errors trying to compile stuff against it.

alltime goto http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and setup access to the software repositories. Now go menu->System->Configuration->Packaging->Install Software (or go into the Mandrake Control Centre->Software) and install the package 'kernel-source' (without the quotes).
