Question Kernel Panic:VFS: Cannot open root device "hda3" or 00:10

Hi ,

I am facing a following problem while booting with Linux:

VFS: Cannot open root device "hda3" or 00:10

Please append a correct "root=" boot option

Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:10

{GRUB version 0.90 (639K lower/654272K upper memory)

root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.9-e.3 ro root=/dev/hda3
initrd /initrd-2.4.9-e.3.img
}

If any body know the solution to the problem,I will be glad to receive the help .

Kindest Regards,
Shivendra Bhatia
