Question Kernal and All Commands


Hi linux users

1.) I want to know how to compile new Kernal. If u know then please write me step by step in mail thanks


2.) I want to know the name of web site which contain descruption of all commands in linux

1) read the kernel howto: linuxdoc.org

2) use the 'man' command to find out stuff, or 'info'

i know the about the man pages from man1--man7 but still there are some commands which i dont know.

If u have Red Hat Linux than issue the command
ls [d]*
in /usr/bin directory. here u find out the commands like dd_ a lot of commands which i dont know how to use that commands and there are lot of more commands so i want to know about those commands

if u know pls tell me

just use dd --help
or
