Question Kdevelop help


Do i have to be in root to make my own app in KDevelop?I was going to use usr for this.I just want to know because i new at this.

you dont have to be root to compile(that is making your own applicatios) programs but you cant install them to system(i mean under /usr/local or other) they will stay under you user folder but you can run them as usual.

No, for normal apps you do not need to be root. But certain actions always need root privileges. For instance if your program tries to mount a partition, you might not be able to unless you are root.

no this is not always the case if you add user (in fstab) to the options your prog will happly mount it.
