KDE: ksysguard kicker applet transparency

Hi there.

I have a few questions regarding transparent backgrounds for the ksysguard kicker extension. It's been bugging me for a while that it seems as if I can only use one-colored backgrounds, but I want it transparent.
This is because I use a wallpaper on which I applied a customized background for kicker that suits my placing and size of kicker perfectly and looks nice, as well.
I've faced the same problem with the clock, but by telling it to use the "standard color" (totally misleading name, IMHO) could get it to work.

Now, is there any (obscure or whatever) way to use a transparent background for ksysguard, as well?

Thanks in advance for any replays (even if it's just a "no way, dude, use some more modern tool" ;) ).

It's very tweakable color-wise but I can't find 'no color' either.

Yeah, guess it's just not possible (and I hate referring to something regarding Linux and esp. KDE as not possible ;) ).
For now I'm using a color that roughly fits, but of course you can't do gradients and the like with that.

Yes, that should be a lot easier in KDE4, considering the much more abstracted interfaces it provides for developing.
However, from my experiences in playing around with some development releases I have some very mixed feelings towards KDE4. I sincerely hope that in the process of streamlining everything the sheer amount of possibilities in customization that I so love about KDE won't get left behind ... but that's a totally different topic ;)
