My joystick, a Nyko Airflo EX works just fine for the most part. Though it has a problem for all computers where it is terribly calibrated. The center positioning on the left stick is way way off and fluctuates a tiny bit when left completely still. This makes assigning keys in games a terrible pain. I can't set keys because any programs that recognize joysticks will automatically register the slight stick movements.
I don't know what handles the joystick input. I'm using the latest 2.6 kernel, Slackware 10.2 and fluxbox. But what I need to do is either disable the left stick, as I prefer the directional pad anyway, or calibrate it so that it isn't as sensitive. But again I couldn't find out how I can configure these things. Any help, links or things to type in the kernel would be appreciated.
EDIT: I've fixed this problem. The joystick was probably sitting on the stick, pushing it so that it was misconfigured automatically on startup.
