[SOLVED] Issue while running mytop comman in Ubuntu 10.04

Hi Friends,

I have installed Mysql-5.5 server in my ubuntu 10.04 and i wanted to run mytop command to check the server performance. while i am giving the command mytop ubuntu giving me the below error message.

Code:

root@MORDORSQL2:~# mytop
"my" variable $up_width masks earlier declaration in same scope at /usr/bin/mytop line 864.
install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so' for module DBD::mysql: libmysqlclient.so.16: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 at /usr/lib/perl/5.10/DynaLoader.pm line 193.
 at (eval 12) line 3
Compilation failed in require at (eval 12) line 3.
Perhaps a required shared library or dll isn't installed where expected
 at /usr/bin/mytop line 274

Anyone have any idea how to fix this error.

The second line of the code you posted says the culprit is a missing PERL file, /usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so.

Is that file present on your machine?

The File /usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so is present in the system.

Hi Guys,

My issue has been resolved. i just uninstall libmysqlclient18 from the server and downgrade it to libmysqlclient16 and mytop stated working.
