is it me?

Am I a detailer syndrome or is 1280x1024 a mad choice for a standard resolution? If you work it out 640:480 = 800:600 = 1024:768 = 1280:960 = 4:3 (aspect ratio of just about all monitors) whereas 1280:1024 = 5:4 ?????

I am starting a capaign against "1280x1024" will anyone join me in this most worthy of causes? We will start by switching resolutions (ctrl alt +); then THE WORLD! All users of the forbidden resolution shall be crushed and made to only look at a monitor with squinty eyes.

lol....and Tuttle hey, how can you say 1280x1024 is wrong just because it's 5:4? maybe it's the only "true" resolution, and all the 4:3 ratios are only made to irritate people? hehe..things can be seen from two sides.

Would make a good signature

" If you don't like it, whisht yer gub!"

It's definitately a nicer way to say shut your mouth. The David Ross moderator bloke comes from round there according to his signature, Ayrshire so he can't be far from Killie going by the overall size of the country.

And just to make sure this post is on topic....ehm...the map of Scotland is best viewed on screen at a resolution of 800x600 (makes it look bigger) with a ISO approved ratio of 4:3

I was working at Raigmore hospital in Inverness the week before last and I recon it needs widescreen, say 16x9 to fully appreciate it. Doon whuth flat puxels! Beautiful country by the way and my first taste of proper haggis was worth the flight.

The last haggis I had was packed too full and the oatmeal didn't get cooked. Not the best haggis I have ever tasted. I don't think they got the aspect ratio right.

I could say something about kilts, sheep and zippers, but I won't. <smack><smack><shhhh, whist!>

I'll take a couple of those meat pies with some HP sauce instead, please.

Ah, the cook blaming the food/tool's I think.

If you get another go fancypiper, then steam it, gently over a slow simmer. A couple of hour's and bingo. It'd still need gravy though!
