First of all, tell me which ethernet port (eth0 or eth1) is connected to the internet ?
And is your local network port (not internet) configure ?

You can use the ifconfig command to find out.

You need to configure your eth0.
Open a console window and type: redhat-config-network

You will need to add eth0.
Click Add, then select Ethernet Connection, and then select Ethernet Card eth0.
Then choose to setup a Static IP.
Code:
Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway Address: 192.168.1.1
After, select eth0 and click Activate.

At the command line, use ifconfig to confirm that eth0 has the correct IP (192.168.1.1).
You will also need to configure WindowsXP with a static IP (192.168.1.2) and a default gateway (192.168.1.1).
You can also use ping to ping between both system.

Then we can move to the next step.

NOTE: you should edit your previous post and remove your IP for security reasons.

i got the same problem. and when i do a network restart my internet stops working. The only way to get the internet back is to deactivate both eth0 and eth1 and only activate eth0. How can i correct this? I've even gone as far as taking out my card (eth1) and putting it back in and it still does this crazy stuff.

I figured out a possible problem. You might have your gateway setup wrong (an invaild ip address). If you fix that it should work.
