Installing Red Hat

I am able to get to the installing part of Rad Hat 6.2 but everytime i get there the installation process does absoulutly nohting just sits there.

I only have left it open for about 10 mins do i have to wait longer for it to do something or is there something wrong with the cd?

Most likely either its the cd or maybe a hardware problem when it gets to the point of installing. Give us some details on your setup and it might help us determine the problem.

If anyone has had experience with installing red hat it was me and i could help you but got to know more detail.

1 machine type ?
a proc type and speed
b memory amount
c hd type and size
d cd rom speed

2 are you using a burnt cd or factory distro?

3 are you booting to cd or using floppies?

4 have you partitioned the hard drive yet?

finnally if you have broad band internet consider installing rh 8.0
if you are intrested in doing that I'm an expert because if you could run into a problem installing 8 I found it.
