hi,
I have red hat 6.2 kernel 2.2.17 system installed.
I need to create installation floppy for another machine with my 2.2.17 kernel, how do I do this ?
I tried dd=boot.img of=/dev/fd0, this created 2.2.14 install floopy.
now I tried to replace the vmlinuz file that the dd had created on th floppy, with bzImage or vmlinux, files which were my 2.2.17 file but it did not help.

how can I do this ?or another question.
If I make boot floopy with kernel 2.2.17, I can boot with this and mount the HD and than start the CD installation, my Q is how can I start the installation from the cd if I do not boot to it ??
